This is another one of my still life pieces where I pay tribute to the artists who inspire me by including their iconic paintings into my set-ups. My challenge is to come up with a composition that would not obscure the most essential part of the image and yet not to let it dominate the scene. Therefore I don't aspire to create an overly faithful "copy" of the original masterpiece, but rather use it to support compositional and color choices of the rest of the painting. A personal connection to the "master painting" is a must!
