This painting is available through J. Petter Galleries in Douglas, MI. While all my work celebrates sunlight, this painting is a like a wild rave dance party at sundown - shimmering light and shadows everywhere. Indeed, I listened to club music most of the time I worked on it. The reference photo of a friend's tangled flower garden was a great starting point. From there, I pushed the light/dark contrast to capture the light glinting off the stems, leaves, and petals. I love how the flower petals are holding the sun before it sinks behind the trees.
