This painting is kind of like Dolly Parton's song, A Coat of Many Colors, because I use MANY colors and did NOT limit my color palette in the least. Instead, I went the opposite direction with brush strokes in a hundred shades. Springtime will look like this very soon in Michigan - with maple buds, red twig dogwoods, and new leaves sprouting. This painting was inspired by time spent along Fleming Creek in Ann Arbor. I like the way the tips of the tree branches meet the sky.
