This piece has a very limited color palette. Usually I'm inspired by a vibrant and diverse palette, but this time I thought I'd mix it up and push myself by NOT using any vibrant reds or oranges. Most of this piece is comprised of cerulean blue and yellow ochre hues. A little burnt sienna is mixed in for good measure. I love how the trees in the foreground present as yellow, but they're really green on the canvas. There's a luminosity to this painting that is difficult to describe, like it has a glow to it.
