This one has been a long time coming. My main goal with this piece was to complete it entirely Plein air, which I’m very proud to say was achieved. The beautiful thing about plein air, at least on this scale, is that you capture the moments you like best throughout the different “moods” of a place as they come and go. This is especially true for sunsets. What I mean is, there isn’t a single time of day you can go to this location and the lighting will look like this. It’s a combination of all of my favorite characteristics of sunset here within the hour or so leading up to it. Paint outside kids!!! This one has been a long time coming.
