Blue hour might just be my favorite time of day to paint. Just after the sun dips below the horizon, when there is still plenty of light in the sky, but its just dark enough to see the glow of the lights. This is the view looking Northeast from Griffith Park, over Glendale and on to the San Gabriel mountains. Normally, those mountains would've been a lot more blue, since they're usually covered in foliage, but the recent Altadena fire left them bald and pale. Sad as it is, it makes for very pretty sunset colors. *does not include matte or frame. Blue hour might just be my favorite time of day to paint.
