Finally crossed the finish line with this guy! What a run- I had many hurdles to jump! After cruising into the first four leaves and finding colors with more confidence I noticed the thorn on the center leaf was HUGE! I ended up adjusting most of the thorns on all four center leaves. The days were sunny while painting this so I had to be careful not to shift values when painting at night🤪 just the enormity of this painting was a hurdle. Oh and the fact that everything being laid down was soft shades of aqua and green on top of terracotta RED! I am emotionally attached to these colors!! I am so pleased with the results!
