'Andy' is named for the Andes mountains he lives in on the Altiplano plateau. He is an alpaca. Alpacas are well known for their soft fur , spinners love to use their wool! When I finished painting the alpaca and started to think of what color I wanted the background to be and struggled. I did it first in all baby blues but it didn't have enough life ( know what I mean?). So I wiped off some of the blues and worked in some brighter yellows.
