Last year I began painting full time as supposed to when I had time. I started using an underpainting process that gave more texture and dimension to my paintings. The process was so much fun that I painted anything that had a face! So this one is a portrait of our dog, Savannah. She is an English Golden retriever with some CURLY hair! She normally would eat any stuffed animal we gave her as a toy. So after I noticed she wasn't tearing into this stuffed squirrel I took pictures. It seemed as though she had a little buddy. But those ideas were dashed a few days later when we left her alone with it for a few hours🤨. The squirrel was no more😂 so this painting is a memory of a moment- when stuffed squirrel was a buddy.
