I had a very limited bit of time available for painting, so I decided to zoom in on a horse image I worked with last fall that is hanging in my studio. As I finished this little one, I suddenly recalled that I have recently purchased a beautiful horse painting that I have been admiring every day. I don't think I would have chosen this subject if I had consciously remembered that one, because this doesn't compare. This is just nice Mr. Scruffles with a scruffly mane.
