This was the view of the Missouri River near Chamberlain, South Dakota recently. No snow on the ground(unusual for this time of year), rather the soft gold of the dry grass contrasted with the blue of the river and sky. I did this painting in thick oil paint on a 10x8 masonite board. I like using thick oil paint as it gives paintings a luscious texture that can’t be replicated in a print. This could easily be framed by placing it in a standard photo frame with the glass removed. Shipped free with USPS Ground Advantage shipping within one day. Thanks for looking!
