I usually work with photographps so this is the first portrait here that came purely from my imagination. I found a pile of acrylic monoprints - abstracts made with the Gelli plate - and liked the contrast between the gold and turquoise in this one. The empty square gave me enough space to "find" the girl and then a detail in the chaos made me think of a bee and I used pastels to make it appear too. I had lots of fun playing with collage, stamps and more metallic paint to bring it all together.
