After I initially extracted the figure from the roof in the source materiel, the image made me think of a building site so the title of this piece was at first "Work in progress". Upon further reflexion, I really like the way the background and the figure seem to merge together, pushing the boundaries between abstraction and representation, something I intend to take further. Being "connected" I believe, goes beyond keeping in touch with loved ones or feeling a sense of belonging to a family or a community. It extends to the universe itself, something every atom of our body is part of - and our thoughts too, perhaps. Does order come from the chaos or is it the other way around? Or both at the same time?
