On an overcast day, I found the early blooming lilies particularly striking ringing the pond while at a favorite woodland hiking trail nearby. The trail is a community project of the Baxter County Master Gardeners with more than 100 native shrubs, understory trees, warm-season grasses, annuals, biennials, and perennials.
