I have always had an attraction to Delft pottery. Perhaps because my parents had some small pieces that they brought with them from Europe when they immigrated to Canada. Those little artful pieces were an endearing part of my childhood. My favorite was a porcelain replica of a Dutch wooden clog (shoe). You will often find Delft pottery in 17th century Dutch still life paintings and since those artworks inspires my own I suppose that is another reason for my attraction.
