Media: oil on loose canvas
Size: 8x10 in
I have a number of paintings performed on an unstretched sheet of canvas, and this is one of them. I'm often asked how one can frame them. It's really easy! With a canvas of this size, you don't need to stretch or glue it to any surface. Just use any frame with backing (like a photo frame), remove the glass (oil painting doesn't need it), insert the canvas sheet, and you are done! If you want, you can even mat these paintings in the same way you would mat a watercolor piece, but then you need to keep the glass: your mat will have to be protected.
