I have been sketching seagull gestures for years to be used one day in a painting (or a series). One day while walking on a beach I came upon a huge crowd of them lined up along the shore. I got out my camera to get photos when suddenly a dog in the distance discovered them too and rushed at them causing a huge commotion of alarmed birds in various stages of flight.
