I have been scoring big time at flea markets and resale shops, really stimulating me to try still lifes! The flower is from my yard, the Red Bird of Paradise Bush. I used to live in Hawaii and love that Bird of Paradise flower, but these are lovely too! Believe native to this area, we have a Yellow Bird of Paradise tree in our front yard too!
