Winter is coming with its cold, rain, snow and short days. Actually in december and january we only have about 5 hours of daylight. But I had a wonderful time today doing this red cabin sketch which measures about 14 x 18 inches. This was the second sketch of the day. The first was of a white birch tree which was growing in a fascinating way, but about an hour into the session I realized I was in over my head. So I wiped it down and found a new location. I was much more pleased with this one which took about 2.5 hours.
