From a series of mini oak tree paintings, which was called the 50/50/50 show. Fifty paintings in fifty days. I chose the oak tree for my subject. It was a challenging project, yet super rewarding in that I was able to thoroughly explore color, values, and composition without getting bogged down with subject matter.
