This cat has such a cool, chill vibe and his mysterious eyes drew me in. What is he looking at? What is he thinking? I hope you feel that as well. I really enjoyed creating him. This piece was created on Ampersand scratchboard with various sharp tools. I scratch away the top layer of black India ink to varying degrees, then add colored India ink and scratch again. This process is done several times to create depth of color. It was sealed with several layers of satin varnish for protection and so it doesn't need to be under glass.
