Painted for this week's challenge! 1st Painting. -What I like about JWBeatty's paintings - his design and balance in use of color. For this painting I realized he used layers of color - trying to figure out the order of layers was a bit tricky but it was a great learning experience..The 2nd painting - A scene from my visit to Acadia National Park - I carried over some of Beattys ideas with the use of cad red tones as an underpainting - keeping this color balanced across the canvas was my goal here...
