There used to be a paper factory around the corner from where I live. It's been closed for years and has stood empty ever since I moved here. Most of the factory buildings have now been torn down, but some structures will stay because they are historical landmarks of Dachau. For some reason, I'm drawn to this place. I walk by here often with my dog and have followed the progressing destruction from day one. There is something so desolate and lonely and serious about these empty buildings that fascinates me. I've taken so many photos of the place and have made several paintings. This is one of my favorites. There used to be a paper factory around the corner from where I live.
