There is a story behind the pumpkin and ribs. A few years ago my son-in-law worked on a scientific vessel out of Alaska, and he often came across walrus and whale bones on deserted islands. He picked up a few and has them around his house and on tabletops, so while visiting I picked up a green pumpkin and arranged the bones around it. The figure in the background seemed to belong there and adds a bit of mystery to the work. There is a story behind the pumpkin and ribs.
