The Copy and Learn Challenge. I've always admired the painting by Jean Simeon Chardin,"Still Life with White Mug" 1762. I have a somewhat similar white mug and I had apples in the fridge, so I set up a still life and painted from direct observation. I changed the set up enough that I felt it was OK to sign the painting. I think that Carol Marine said something like, "The less strokes the better" which is what I will try the next time because I really overdid it on this painting! The Copy and Learn Challenge.
