For me, there is great satisfaction when completing a painting. Especially a painting that forces me to take risks and pushes me to expand my abilities as an artist, like this piece. However the real joy comes from people having the opportunity to view my artwork and hopefully experience an emotional response. The painting should engage the viewer in the process; encouraging them to complete the painting in their mind, either consciously or subconsciously.
