Media: pen and ink with watercolor on mixed media paper
Size: 11x8 in
This summer I've made a huge move from southern AZ to central FL. All my art supplies had to go into storage until I find a permanent home. So I had to order some emergency supplies to keep my hands busy. Mixed media pape, ink pens and a travel watercolor kit. I've also been reading about neuro art which involves intuitive lines with rounded intersections. It can be strictly art for enjoyment or it can be used with some additional techniques for healing and therapy. I have found the pieces I've created have been wonderful at keeping my ever present anxiety at bay. This piece is part of a series exploring some intuitive drawing representing my return to the ocean. I was born in Long Beach, CA and FL will probably be my last stop in this life. From sea to shining sea! The mixed media paper I'm using has a bit of a cool gray tint to it. It would look wonderful with a cool white mat and black frame.
