During evacuation for the Palisades fire I had time to paint (and hold down my painting kit in the wind) and appreciate the quickly changing cloudscape in front of me. It was incredible to watch the colors of raging fire go from purple to red to yellow and orange, with clear sky behind them and pristine grass in front. Painted at the Calabasas Country Club Golf Course over two days plein air.
