9 x 12 gouache painting of State Route 93 in Nevada, heading north, from a trip I made recently to an art show in Washington. As the title suggests, I had Miles to Go (before I slept)...I finally stopped that night in Ely, NV, starting point, Southern Arizona (Elgin). Sometimes being an artist is as much about being a long distance driver as it is about painting. This impressionist painting is about wide open spaces and the stark beauty of the endless desert landscape that is much of Nevada, a beautiful and sometimes underrated state. Done on watercolor paper, varnished, unframed.
