i've been painting in oils for a few years now. mostly i like to paint still lifes, i.e. anything that doesn't move or run away until i'm done.

learning to paint is a challenging and often frustrating journey, but happily the end is nowhere in sight!

learning is made easy by the many excellent artists who generously share their knowledge in books or online. for me, carol marine's "daily painting" book was one of the first to open a gateway into the world of painting.
