Art has always been a part of my life, nurtured by my mother, Lillian. People noticed this when I was young, being commissioned for my first city sign when I was a senior in high school.
I live in Minnesota, on a small farm, with sheep, chickens, cats and dogs, 30 minutes from the Mighty Mississippi. A beautiful area, with much to inspire; eagles over bluffs, Karst caverns, deciduous woodlands, prairies and farmland, where animals abound.
Actively drawing and painting when I was young, then family and farm put practice aside. Inspiration, possiblities and curiosity never were put aside, it just took different forms of creativity, by teaching and encouraging my children and other children and adults that they can do "this", too! Art did continue, for others, as works on their home walls and signage around town. You will see these as I upload my work.
My children have families of their own so now I hop around, the United States and Canada, spending time with my grand Littles.
I am excited about the Daily Painting Works to motivate me to get what inspires and makes me wonder out of my head into trying and experimentation. Something that also excites me, about DPW, is the creative community and conversation I have always searched for.
I have decide to start by depicting items that bring joy around me. The purpose, not really to sell but to get back into regular practice again. Yet if, you see something you'd like to have, please let me know. ;)
I hope you enjoy journeying with me in honor and growth.
