Rebecca earned her Associates in Arts degree from Mesa Community College where she studied drawing and composition, life drawing, drawing anatomy, and (more recently) portrait and figure painting from Jim Garrison.
Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University where her studies included life drawing and drawing anatomy,
Currently Rebecca resides in Mesa, Arizona with her husband of 39 years. She has four children, two of which are married, and 11 grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoys her family especially her grandchildren! They bring her great joy!
"Art has ever been my passion and I have enjoyed it since my earliest recollection at the age of three. I have always loved drawing and, more recently, painting. I thoroughly enjoy the chalenge of portrait painting but have recently discovered the joy of landscapes with plein aire painting as well as still-lifes, flowers, and animals. Let's face it. What I really love is the effects of light falling, dancing, playing on form and the colors it reveals. After all, that is what we really paint. Isn't it? To me light and color are magical."
