Hello! I grew up in a small town in Kentucky. Art instruction was fairly non-existent there and so I didn't begin any formal training until college. I have a BFA in Fine Art/Graphic Design from Western Kentucky University. After college and while raising my son, I went into advertising to pay the bills and keep in touch with my creative side. But after several years of not touching a brush, I decided to get back to what I love, painting.

I now paint and teach painting classes full time in Louisville, Kentucky. I am also a Certified Artist Educator with GOLDEN Acrylics.  I love painting in both oils and acrylics. Oils for the silky feel of the paint and acylics for how much further I can take my paintings in both texture and appearance. I am lucky to have the opportunities for exploration with both.
