This scene really caught my eye near Hallettsville, Texas. I love how the warm alpenglow hitting the top of the thunderstorm contrasts again the muted values below the shadow line. I've painted this scene several times in both oils and acrylic trying to capture the nuances in different ways, learning new lessons each time.
