Another go at a portrait of my daughter, this time with a different approach - slower and with more brush control and a different composition. I used vermillion, cadmium yellow pale, cadmium red, scarlet lake, ultramarine and burnt umber on a raw sienna ground. There is something wonderful about skin tones and hair in bright sunlight. It has been a real treat to have the sunshine this last week. I'm really enjoying portraiture at the moment. More to follow!
