This spring, I found myself busy with commissions and special projects, which dictated my subject matter for a while. I wanted to let loose one evening and paint whatever I wanted. I scrolled through my phone and found this photo of my grandmother. I thought it would be a fun night of experimentation with color and free brushstrokes, and I was correct!
