This dreamy painting came about as a result of not being happy with my original idea. Being unhappy with something is actually almost always a good thing-it opens up possibilities in your mind. The entire time I was painting this I was thinking of the Randy Newman song, LAST NIGHT I HAD A DREAM. There is a bit of copper leaf at the bottom, and I imagined a strange network of underground animals and objects there.
