[Ferns + cedars + a birch tree] x sunlight = magically delicious
As an impressionist landscape painter, I'm curious about ways to capture light and shadow with big, colorful, overlapping brush strokes. In this case, that sunlight was filtering through the forest in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Kitch-iti-kipi or the “Big Spring." The Ojibwe also called it the “Mirror of Heaven.''
