Media: Watercolor on hardboard panel, sealed w/varnish
Size: 8x8 in
This sweet home is not far from my home and I pass it often. Never have I seen activity or any indication that it is occupied, but when the light shines on it, it can be the loveliest vision to behold. My goal was to capture the soft, moody day with light touching the front of the home. This painting is 3/16” thick, created on professional watercolor paper, permanently mounted on a hardboard panel, then sealed with 5 coats of UV archival varnish with a satin finish. The thinner profile allows it to be framed traditionally but also offers the option of framing in a floater frame, where the entire surface of the painting is visible. With either framing option, it has the look of natural watercolor without the need for a mat or glass. Signed on front and back. Back includes painting details with title, artist full name, painting surface and ID#, etc. This painting would look wonderful in a floated frame where you would see the painting edge-to-edge.
