I’ve been meaning to paint these beautiful roses for months. They present an amazing opportunity to play with light, complementary colour and perspective. I’ve had to employ lots of pinks and oranges straight from the tube to get the level of saturation they deserve. These roses are climbing up a wall of the gardens of Ely Cathedral. The cathedral has been there since 1342. Not sure about the roses. I’ve been meaning to paint these beautiful roses for months.
