Several years ago my neighbor, Wilbur, retired. He andhis wife Finny had a lot of plans. Plans to travel and enjoy their retirement years. Vinny suffered a stroke that has left her dependent on caregivers for the the last 4 years. Wilbur runs a landscape business in his retirement years and works a lot in the summer. I am amazed at his positive attitude and his stamina. Occasionally I cook for him and my husband and I go out to dinner with him to break up his routine. Wilbur tells me all the time how much he appreciates me and I told him, "that is what friends are for". On special occasions Wilber brings me flowers. He knows I love flowers. Every year they are a reminder to me of what friends mean to each other.
