Media: Encaustic (Hot bee's wax and mixed media)
Size: 7x5 in
I use encaustic (hot bee's wax and mixed media) to create my "Birds In My
Garden" series. Many layers of wax, imagery, drawing, shellac ink,
pastel, watercolor, oil pigments and many others are added to create a
painting. At times I may have 15 layers or more of wax to complete a painting. I
use a torch to fuse each layer of wax to each other.
