One reason I love Pennsylvania is the historical old houses. This house is close to were I live and was an original farm house. The man that lived here can't stay in the house anymore and is living in a care center. So, it has been abandoned for now... The Christmas before I painted this, my grandfather had passed away and our family was discussing what I imagine these two men talking about. No, this is not my grandfather's house, but like a lot of families we have been in similar situations. I love this house and will continue to paint more paintings of it...
