My grandma and grandpa working together preparing Thanksgiving dinner a couple of years ago. They were 86 and 92, respectively, at the time. I painted this in August of 2012, when we had a family reunion with all eighteen of their children and most of their descendants. (Over 300 were there.)
We are blessed to still have them with us, although scenes like this are a thing of the past. Both have had serious health battles the last year, most recently (and currently) my grandpa. I live far away from them, but they are both always on my mind.
