"​Between the Scenes" was painted over another painting. The model turned up for her 2nd or 3rd session but wasn't well enough to hold the pose. we were about to call it quits as she sat on the model stage leaning on her elbows. I asked her if she would be OK and comfortable enough to just pose like that. Since the previous painting could not be completed as to the absence of the pose, I just painted over the existing painting. 3 hrs later the painting was done.
FYI artists, limited palette 5 colors only - naples yellow, yellow ochre, venetian red, ivory black (which leans towards blue), and quinacridone rose. No white.
