This one turned out exactly like I had pictured it in my mind. The inspiration for it was mainly the hardanger (norwegian) lace that you see in the picture.
I used to own a needlework store and spent many nights working on lace exactly like this one. I'd have to say that drawing it with a medical scalpel on scratchboard takes almost the same amount of time as it would to actually make the lace. But either way, what a wonderful, enjoyable way to spend my time!
