Happened across this guinea fowl at an animal sanctuary while vacationing in Hawaii last February. Clearly he was struggling to breath I asked the person at the sanctuary what was wrong. She said she wasn't sure but a vet was on his way. When we got back to our hotel that night the news broke that someone in Washington State had the Coronovirus. I have thought about this bird often since that day. It was the last day of normalcy before the pandemic took over everyone's life. To me the bird was a bit of an omen and I think that struggle that I witnessed really describes 2020.
